The Porsche 911 GT3 with Touring Package makes its world premiere, offering an exclusive six-speed manual gearbox. This no-cost option extends the range of pure, focused driving experiences available in Porsche’s renowned GT sports car line-up. The GT3 with Touring Package is distinguished by its sleek styling, where the fixed rear wing is replaced by an automatic extending rear spoiler featuring a unique airflow ‘tear-off edge’ to aerodynamically balance the car. Despite its understated exterior, the car is packed with pure motorsport technology. The 4.0-liter naturally aspirated, motorsport-derived engine delivers 500 hp (368 kW) and 460 Nm of torque.

When paired with optimal manual gear changes, the 911 GT3 with Touring Package can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 3.9 seconds and reach a top speed of 196 mph. The name “Touring Package” recalls an equipment variant of the 911 Carrera RS from the 1973 model year, which emphasized pure 911 design and classic interior features. The new 911 GT3 with Touring Package modernizes this concept.

Target Audience and Customization Options

Sports car enthusiasts who value an understated appearance combined with a high level of driving enjoyment are the intended audience for the 911 GT3 with Touring Package. Aside from the Clubsport Package and Alcantara interior equipment ranges, virtually all 911 GT3 options are also available in combination with the Touring Package. These include features such as all exterior and wheel colors, PCCB ceramic brakes, front axle lift system, LED headlights, all seat variants, the Chrono Package, and audio systems.

The Touring Package option is available to order now at no extra cost. The 911 GT3 with the Touring package costs the same as any 911 GT3. Customers will also be invited to explore the potential of their new car and further develop their driving skills by participating in a bespoke driving experience at the Porsche Experience Centre, Silverstone.

High-Performance Sports Car in Every Respect

Except for the rear, the body of the GT3 remains unchanged in the variant with Touring Package. The car features large air intakes in the specially designed nose and an air outlet typical of the 911 GT3 model located at the front of the luggage compartment lid. The front and rear lights are identical, though not dark-tinted. Twenty-inch diameter forged alloy wheels with center locking nuts dominate the side profile. On the front axle, 245/35 ZR 20 tires are fitted on 9-inch wide wheels, while at the rear, 305/30 ZR 20 tires sit on 12-inch wheel rims. The tires make a powerful impression, as the body of the 911 GT3 models is 44 millimeters wider across the wheel arches than the 911 Carrera. The suspension is lowered by an additional 25 millimeters compared to the 911 Carrera, further emphasizing the car‘s width. The car achieves its greatest visual impact by combining familiar GT3 styling cues with the omission of the fixed rear wing.

Distinctive Rear Features

The subtle structural features are first visible at the rear. The blade of the extending rear spoiler from the series-production 911 is equipped with a bespoke aerodynamic lip or ‘tear-off edge’ (so-called ‘Gurney flap’) in body color. The specially designed rear engine lid grille bears the ‘GT3 touring’ logo. Other distinguishing features include silver-trim around the side windows, the sports exhaust system tailpipes, and headlight washer system covers. The Porsche logo at the rear is similarly finished in silver. In the ‘Black Exterior Touring Package’ equipment option, these aforementioned elements are in black, as with the 911 GT3. The front and rear lights are dark-tinted.

Classic Sports Car Feel with Manual Transmission

Behind the wheel, the 911 GT3 with Touring Package offers a feel reminiscent of a classic sports car with a manual transmission. In line with the character of a pure GT car, fine leather is prevalent rather than Alcantara. The steering wheel rim with a twelve o’clock marker, shift lever, door panel armrests, center console storage compartment lid, and interior door handles are each trimmed in smooth-finish leather. The seat centers are black fabric. The headrests feature embossed Porsche crests, and all seams in the partial leather interior are sewn in black thread. The finishing touch is the trim in black aluminum.
